A new story every month

Your little one steps into a storybook. Each month we read a fairytale together, learn ballet steps that tell the story, dress up in costumes and dance with props. At the end of the month, families come watch the show.

  1. 📖Story time

    We open the book and meet the characters, from Belle and Cinderella to snow princesses and fairies.

  2. 🩰Ballet that tells the story

    Real ballet, taught through the story: bourrées, pliés, jetés and port de bras.

  3. 👑Costumes & props

    Tutus, crowns, roses, lanterns, snowballs and wands make every class feel like magic.

  4. 🎭Backstage Magic

    Little dancers learn how to wait, take turns and get ready like real performers.

  5. ✨Onstage Magic

    Pancake spots on the floor help every dancer know exactly where to stand and shine.

  6. 🌟Monthly performance

    The month ends with a show in Ovation Theatre, our very own stage, for parents and family.

Our pride and joy

Once Upon A Ballet is Mandy's own creation. She handwrote every lesson, and she still directs every show.

  1. ✂️Where it started

    Mandy sewed the first costumes in her garage studio. Our little dancers performed right in the classroom.

  2. 🎭Where it is now

    A full performance every month on our Ovation Theatre stage, with real lights, backdrops and an audience of proud families.

  3. 🩰Hundreds of ballerinas

    Over the past 10 years, hundreds of little ballerinas have danced their first story with us. And we're ready for more!

  4. 🌟All grown up

    Many Once Upon A Ballet dancers now train in our Protégé Artistry program and perform in our big shows, like our annual Nutcracker and Winter Concert.

What ages is Once Upon A Ballet for?

Ages 3 to 5. It is part of our Nova Kids program.

Does my child need dance experience?

No experience needed. Many dancers take their very first ballet class with us.

Where are the performances?

In Ovation Theatre, the real theatre inside our studio in northwest Las Vegas.

Are costumes and props included?

Yes! Costumes and props are included. Dancers borrow them from the studio on performance day.
